Brooklyn Frank was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in January, 2011. She is joined by her parents, Mike and Kristin, brother, Braden, and sisters, Kayla and Kelsey, in her fight against this disease. She continues to receive treatment each week and we look forward to celebrating the day she is cancer free. Brooklyn’s courageous spirit has inspired so many through this journey. We will post updates on this site as we get new information. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!

Walking again
We had a much better day today. Brooklyn slept well and got up and was happy. She was walking like normal again this morning, so that was great. She will still fall over sometimes just because she is not used to walking around with her new body shape and I think because she didn't do much at all that first month so her legs are a little tired and not used to moving around. She is so cute, whenever she tips over, she says, "help me up pease". I bought the kids those big beach balls from Target and they were loving playing with them in the house, but she would try to run after hers and fall down. She is so strong, she never cried or complained, even when she would fall straight down on her knees. She helped clean the house a little today and was loving wearing gloves and spraying the spray bottle. Our walls and doors from about 2 1/2 feet down are really clean. :) She was pretty tired tonight and wasn't as happy during dinner or when it was time to go to bed, but hopefully that means she will sleep through the night again. It is so good to see her moving around so much more & laughing and singing and dancing. It is a long, tiring road, but our little Brookie's sweet spirit is still shining through.

Hang in there! Love the new pictures you've added and what a girl you have helping scrub the house so clean! Praying God's strength and peace for you guys.
ReplyDeleteI agree Kristin of Brooklyn's sweet spirit still shining though! Just looking at the pictures and that sweet pic of her smiling with the cleaning cloth and squirt bottle as "Mommy's Little Helper" is darling. That was funny about you mentioning how really clean the walls and doors were from 2 1/2 feet down! I can see why Brooklyn was tired that evening! But sounds like you had one good and faithful helper! Great job Brooklyn!!!
ReplyDeleteGood to see Brooklyn slept well that night and hope she gets many more good nights sleep, as well as you too!
Blessings always.
