Brooklyn Frank was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in January, 2011. She is joined by her parents, Mike and Kristin, brother, Braden, and sisters, Kayla and Kelsey, in her fight against this disease. She continues to receive treatment each week and we look forward to celebrating the day she is cancer free. Brooklyn’s courageous spirit has inspired so many through this journey. We will post updates on this site as we get new information. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!

Superbowl Fun
We had a great day today! Brooklyn was feeling much better. It seems that it just takes a day or so to recover after her surgery & chemo. She did wake up at 3:30am and wanted to eat, so we came downstairs for an hour an a half before I convinced her that it was still night time and we should go back to sleep. :) We cleaned the furniture in the backyard since the patio is done and the kids loved getting all wet from the hose. I got some snack foods from the store and we just hung out and watched the Superbowl. Brooklyn did let us know that she hated "this football show" a few times, but she got over it. I am so thankful for my family and the beautiful day we had today.

So glad you were able to enjoy such a great day with the family! I can't imagine how exhausted you must be with middle of the night snack fests too!
ReplyDeleteLittle Brooklyn is the one we are all learning from!
ReplyDeleteWe love you all SO much! Kathy
Go Pack Go! Love you guys! That picture of Mike and Brooklyn is soo precious.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I admire most about you in all this is how much you're carrying on with "normal" every day activities rather than allowing Brooklyn's illness to bring life to a screeching hault. She couldn't be in better hands than she is right now.
ReplyDeleteLove that she hated the football show, tell her I feel the same way! love to you all!

Nice to hear you had a terrific family day! Brooklyn looks like she has some of that "Energizer Bunny" in her. Maybe that's quite typical for toddlers. Good to see it, even though that meant some 3:30 am breakfasts.
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn likely missed a terrific Packer victory "football show" (yah!), but she gets a pass. Nice that they can get redirected pretty easily. Good to see you had a nice Super Sunday, your style.
