Brooklyn Frank was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in January, 2011. She is joined by her parents, Mike and Kristin, brother, Braden, and sisters, Kayla and Kelsey, in her fight against this disease. She continues to receive treatment each week and we look forward to celebrating the day she is cancer free. Brooklyn’s courageous spirit has inspired so many through this journey. We will post updates on this site as we get new information. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!

What a difference sleep makes!
Brooklyn slept very well last night and woke up happy this morning! She has already been laughing and joking, playing peek-a-boo in her sheets with our nurses and drums on her (just in case I need to throw up) bucket. She has had some pancakes and apple juice and did a great job with her Dexamethasone this morning. That is the oral steroid that she has to take twice a day that everyone has said tastes just terrible. She is such trooper! We are going to try to take a sponge bath later and do some walking. It is a good start to our Saturday! :)

So glad to here that!!! Thinking about you all constantly!! 1 day, 1 hour 1 minute at a time. There will be ups and downs. Try to remember when things are rough, it means the meds are doing their job and it is the road to getting her better.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great start to the day. Thinking of you and praying for you often.
ReplyDeleteSo thankful for a good night's sleep for Brooklyn and that she's doing well this morning! We are praying for you all! "For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the LORD; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:3

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your blog of Brooklyn's Journey. Lifting Brooklyn and your entire family up to Jesus in prayer. Our Growth Group has Brooklyn and your family in prayer as well. Glad to see that Brooklyn had a good night's sleep and woke up happy this morning. I agree, she is a trooper! And what Brooklyn said yesterday, that she will "protet" (protect) you all if there was anything scary in the cartoons or movies she is watching, is so precious! She is such a sweet, cute, loving, angel! I know that Jesus will be holding your hands for each step of Brooklyn's Journey. God Bless you and Brooklyn through this.
