Brooklyn Frank was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in January, 2011. She is joined by her parents, Mike and Kristin, brother, Braden, and sisters, Kayla and Kelsey, in her fight against this disease. She continues to receive treatment each week and we look forward to celebrating the day she is cancer free. Brooklyn’s courageous spirit has inspired so many through this journey. We will post updates on this site as we get new information. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!

ReplyDeleteSuch great news. There is nothing like just being at HOME. It can be the best medicine for everyone. Just follow the calendar, take 1 day at a time and it will become second nature. Before long, I am sure she'll be reminding you! Ethan has been praying for Brooklyn every night and see's her picture on the blog. He can't wait to meet her! Look out-
ReplyDeleteOh that's wonderful news! There's no place like HOME! You are all in our prayers. xoxoxoxo

Hope your head doesn't explode Kristin. Sounds messy...
That was a very funny response from Mike! I cracked up myself. Glad Mike is there to make you laugh and take the edge off things at times. Two are better than one...for sure.
Best wishes and will be keeping you all in prayer. Thanks for the update, a very terrific update! Have a nice, loving evening at home together tonight!

Hi there, yes it is true that God won't give you more than you can handle, it just seems sometimes he trusts you too much. lol. Glad you are coming home or maybe now are home. Start a binder, that is my advice to you. Keep a Brooklyn binder that has tabs. Note her stats on one tab, dates and current weights and heights, note all the doctor contacts and phone numbers you have acquired and will acquire on another tab, not meds and current doses on another. It helped us tremendously to do this for Nicholas. My heart is with you during this journey. xoxo Cori
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're able to go home and that today was a pretty good day. Praying the transition back home goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI have to share with you Myles' prayer tonight at bedtime (a 4 yr. old's prayer for a friend):
"Dear Jesus, please help Brooklyn to feel better because we know you love her and you love her the mostest so please help to get better. Jesus we know that you are the true King and that you can do anything and you can even move mountains, and hills and the biggest things like our walls and Jesus we know you can move anything so please help her feel better. And thank you for Mommy and Daddy. Amen."
Glad to hear Brooklyn is home, hope you all sleep well tonight....there is no place like home. Love and hugs....

I know you can do this! Your husband couldn't have said it better even if he was joking a little. We're all cheering you on and praying for your wisdom and strength to do it all.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for Brooklyn and all of you. It will be a journey but God will look after you. I am so glad that Brooklyn was able to go home.

That is great to hear! I am sure everyone will be much more comfortable at home. It is good to hear you guys are keeping postive attitudes about this. It will make the journey God has planned for you a "less bumpy" trip, if there is such a thing. The Van Der Kamps are praying for you guys every day!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you guys to be going home. Being home will have such a nice feel to it. We are thinking of you lots and are here for you always. I think God made kids especially strong!!! Take care.

I am so glad you guys get to come home. We're praying for you and admire your strength and perspective. You guys are amazing parents and it is so special to see the faith and trust you have instilled in little Brooklyn as she rests in her faith in the Lord's hand over her life.
